Finding amber in any quantity is a rarity in W.F.G. tolls. They managed to put a lot of impurities in the glass in these things, but seldom did amber cullet find its way in to W.F.G.'s. This one has a concentrated patch of it extending from the dome above the threads down below the wire groove and wire ridges, and wouldn't you know it, the workmen put it just in the right place -- in front. This insulator is in great condition having only several areas of roughness on the upper and lower wire ridges, front and back. Look closely at the photo, the worst of it is in the front. There's a tiny flakelet on the base and a tiny surface bruise about the same size as well, hardly worth mentioning. All the crudeness you love about these W.F.G.'s is present here. Sparkling clarity to the glass, this one can be yours for $150, including shipping. In fact, since I'm a little bit daft today, if you have an interest in both pieces that I'm offering on ICON today, I'll sell both of them to you for just $450 shipped. How's that for a deal? First email responses that says "I'll take them," will be the lucky person today. Thank you for looking. |
