This Fred Locke U-954D was used on a single phase interurban line in the Indianapolis area around 1904. I have made many trips hunting in hopes of finding another, but so far not even a shard. A few years back a guy at an antique center nearby remembered seeing one in a barn at the house growing up. The house was outside of town near the rails. I told him if he ever went back there look for it. All I could do is give him my card and in hopes for a random phone call with good news.
