Of interest are the two-pin crossarms for electricity service in this New York State neighborhood. Typically longer crossarms with four, six or eight pins were utilized for electric distribution when this photo was taken. Perhaps the lowermost two-pin arm along this street was for fire alarm telegraph comms (note the two small insulators upon pins immediately beneath the latter..)
