This is what I ended up doing with the X-ray tube listed here [id=435888902] I mounted the tube on a pallet wood backboard with rusted brackets to get a distressed look, and added a spring switch insulator that had no hardware along with a few wires and tubes to finish the scene. I previously had something different above the sign but I think this attempt at the industrial look turned out much nicer. I know it's not accurate in any way but I think it turned out pretty nice regardless.
