This is a beautiful, yet somewhat crude piece. The color is hard to describe, but I would call it a grayish-green, though where the glaze has pooled in the saddle groove, there is a slight bluish cast to the green as well. The color is mottled & drippy and the glaze has accumulated as darker "drips" on the base edge. This has a somewhat out-of-round base (X-Y plane) that is slightly wavy as well in the Z direction. I looked this over carefully, and I really don't see any damage. There are plenty of spots and patches where the glaze did not wet, and a few really light scuff marks, but nothing that will offend you, or you are welcome to send it back for a refund. Of all the porcelain that I have handled thus far, this one strikes me as the most like a piece of old patina pottery. Asking a premium over the guide on this due to scarcity, great condition and unusual glaze color. $35.00 + actual shipping. PayPal Friends & Family "no fee" mode preferred, but MO or check is fine as well. As Dan Ling always says "First e-mail that says I'll take it"
