Quite possibly this was a higher voltage circuit from a generation facility nearby as evident by the early pole line construction utilized for this single-circuit, three phase line. A couple sidepins are seen beneath that were for power company telephone dispactching (as a private line for switching, maintenance, etc., between certain locations). Or perhaps for local telephone subscribers.
