For the CD specialist or the color hound, here is a seldom seen, less-seldom offered CD 296.2 EIN [010] (F-Skirt) [Prism] SB in a deep yellow green that smacks of olive overtones. This insulator was previously listed as a CD 296 in the 2007 Price Guide. Condition on this one is very good, with most of the minor damage located on the left portion of the saddle groove. This includes a chip flake off the top of one ear, a smaller one on the left edge of the other ear with an associated scratch in the saddle, and one final flake off the edge of the side wire ridge in the rear. There is also some rubbing and a couple of pecks in the wire groove at the right mold line, and an annealing fracture can be seen in the pinhole behind this. The base is perfect with three of the four vent teats intact on the middle skirt. I do not consider the lehr kiss on the front crown to be damage.
