Hello all......traded for this with a bottle collecting friend of mine, he found it in an attic while helping with a house clean out. He told me it was still full of acid when he got it. Can't seem to find any info on it. There is no pouring spout on this and it is heavy and thick. It is embossed: THE IMPROVED (in an arc)/ PATENTED/ POROUS CUP BATTERY CO./ NEW YORK/ PAT'D OCT 26 1886/ TRADE MARK/ C.J.H. (four stars around CJH)
