Another piece from my collection. I haven't another like it and this one will be difficult to replace. I would call it more lavender than anything else, but it does have some gray tones which keeps it from being in that super-spectacular lavender zone that some of these come in. This one is very crude, about the most dome glass I've ever seen, some shallow surface annealing lines common to these, a few bubbles, surface checking on the inside of the threads near where they start and since the threads start so close to the base, a thin "inner skirt" of sorts was created and that chipped away where the annealing is as can be seen in the photo I believe. There's a few pecks on the upper wire ridge in the front, a clean shallow half pinkie-nail size flake on the lower wire ridge to the left as seen in the photo, a second one like it behind the mold line on the lower wire ridge, a little roughness around the base probably when it came out of the mold, couple of minor flea bites elsewhere. Sounds horrible, but it's not. I just want to be accurate. Backlighted, this piece looks terrific, and if you wanted to give it a bath, you could. Keep in mind, this piece I considered good enough and different enough for me to place on the shelf with all the other nice Denvers in my collection. It's a nice insulator and I do not like selling it, but my wife insists I let some things go, so this is one that I selected. How about $150 shipped for this nice insulator in a color not many manufacturers made? I accept check, money order, or if it is easier for you, Pay Pal. I ship via USPS Priority Mail. Thank you! No takers? OKAY -- $135 SHIPPED, EFFECTIVE 5/27/15. THANK YOU! THIS IS REALLY A PRETTY NICE INSULATOR! |
