Although the sidepins are maybe hard to see here, they are evident on the pole in the centre of this image. The Southern Massachusetts Telephone Company operated in Chatham as well as within most other Cape Cod communities (not sure until when New England Telephone took over in Chatham but maybe by the teens). An old Cape Cod style post-and-beam house (similar to what I own) likely built in the 1700s is visible in this pastoral and peaceful view of upper Cape Cod. A garden of vegetables and/or fregrant sea roses graces the fields nearby...
