This picture shows one of the original pole stumps. Before the 1907 line was constructed, single poles were used instead of 'A' frame structures and so this may have actually been an earlier pole, erected in about 1905. Even after extensive searching nothing was found around this pole site so it remains a mystery as to what could have been on the pole. It's still exciting to see evidence of a line which was dismantled over 100 years ago!
