These came from a Craiglist seller who had pics of a zillion teapots but none of insulators even though the ad said they had a bunch of them. I requested pics a and when I arrived one of the most interesting insulators that I saw in the pics couldn't be foundl. It looked looked like it was a Brookfield CD 127 in light green. During our email communcatuons the woman told me she and her sibling really didn't know what they were worth so she hoped I would do the family right being they were gathered by their father who passed away about a year ago. Was also told that her sister was doing some research on them so nobody could just come along and try to take adantage. I had told her most of what I saw were extremely common but she may have a few that were worth quite a bit more. I was told that someone had seen them and presured them to sell so they were already leary of so called collectors. Normally I don't bring my price guide along with me when I go out hunting insulators but I thought it would be best if I did this one time. They were very happy I did after I looked up insulator after insulator for them and also let them loo for themselves. I'm still some disappointed that 127 was nowhere to be found. But if it does show up I've no doubt I will be getting a phone call. I'll be uploading another pic with these insulator spread out in case anyone get ID them from this view. The color is washed out in that pic and that is why I uploaded this one here. Besides that, I left a piece of mud out the guy just gave me being he didn't have enough change for y twenty. |
