The inner skirt is actually fused together against the inside of the skirt directly behind the small Star on the front side of this beehive. Obviously whoever was operating the mandrill tried to move the insulator to the next stage of production before the mandrill that makes the threads was completely withdrawned from the molds. That actioned caused the inner skirt to be pushed against the skirt while the glass was still in a semi molten state and also created extra threads behind the Star where they don't belong. The only issue with this insulator is that a large section on the right side of inner-skirt is gone. Most likely because it was screwed down against the tapered wooden pin while being pit into service. The good thing is that that break in the skirt is on the right side of the inner skirt that was distorted more then any other I have ever seen. So another words this insulator still displays quite nicely. One would think there is a large bubble or something behind the Star it they didn't pick the insulator up and look at the inner-skirt.

Because of the rarity of some thing like this insulator has I would price $75 or more if it were in mint condition. You already know it isn't so I thnk $35 shipped anywhere in the US of A is a fair price. As always the first emailer gets the price. I will be happy to send pic of inner skirt break or you can find in yesterdays Hunt and Find album. I accept Pay Pal non-fee family and friend payments as well as checks and money orders.

This insulators present status is Pending. Don't let that stop you from emailing me if you are truely interested. There is always the possibilty my potential buyer could bac out. I'll be sure to let you know if you are next to bat!!
