Here's a rare unlisted grey porcelain insulator recovered in Spain. This unusual insulator has a lot going for it. First, it is unlisted. Its bigger than the U-2034- 1/8 inch taller, AND a wider slot: 1 1/4" wide! This style was only used in Spain. Second, it's got an unusual factory marking on it- a four leaf clover with a stem and leaves (partially obscured, hard to read). This means it was made by Nalda, S.A! Third, It has an incuse date of 10 (for 1910) This identical insulator is listed in a circa 1915 electrical distributor catalog for Spain and it shows these were made in 2 sizes [id=579743554]! This confirms it is not a factory anomaly. (I have since found evidence these slot top insulators were also made in 3 sizes by a different manufacturer. Finally, the condition is excellent with only a paper thin crown wire (?) groove rub mark (smaller than index fingernail) and a small rough spot on the outer skirt near the base. Never seen any other examples of this insulator out there for sale! First email gets this rare and unusual insulator for the reduced price of only $275 plus shipping. Don't snooze! Thanks! |
