Probed and dug this Hemingray made New Eng. Tel. 104 in a slump downhill from where a pole once stood. Some nibbling here and there on the upper wire ridge. Light Aqua, though the photo makes the glass look darker than it really is. Near the base and just in front of the left mold line are five small blots. Two over two then one. One or two fainter blots behind that mold line as well as a few near the other mold line, again down by the base. Dome and crown has a bit of that factory pitting / pecking / rough texture that seems to be common with these? Roger Poole replied about the blots: "My guess would be mold defects. Also looks like molds were reworked at some point. Those little lines on both sides of mold line from what I hear is an indicator of that." |
