Yesterdays great finds, line crews have been working in my neighborhood and was able to finally meet up with them. I've seen the pole that these "Cato Fuses" were on for sometime and by chance that is the one the crew was working on. Here in Detroit, this type of fuse was used a lot, but is disappearing, I've gotten a few, but in rough shape. The story is a Detroit Edison employee designed these. A big bonus are the Westinghouse lightning arrestors, one is a light gray and the other sky blue. I've wanted these Westinghouse's for years but every time I got one, it was damaged.
