Here is a nice view of 1940s Americana in this New York State community with an assortment of stores, old cars, signs and other nostalgic, memory-lane roadside stuff that all of us enjoy looking back at ;-) Along the right is an electric utility line with a high voltage circuit atop it supported by multipart porcelain insulators mounted upon "bow-and-arrow" style steel "crossarms". Speaking of "arrows" note the coincidentally-named "Arrowhead" motel across the street... |
