Note the close pin spacing on the three "alley arm" telephone crossarms. This spacing seems to be staggered for some reason (maybe for "adjusting" wire clearance through trees?). The rather "tight" spacing of the three crossarms on its pole might have been for the latter possibility as well; both of which were rather unusual telephone open wire construction techniques here in New England their heyday.
