Up for sale is a pretty cool Hemingray CD 165 from a low-voltage secondary line in London, ON. One street, I found, had a number of these installed. I managed I obtain about a dozen and a half CD 165s, the only ones I saw in the whole city, and only a couple still had the wires attached. This one, in addition to the heavy copper tie wire, has a pretty hefty date code of 12 dots following the number '42' - indicating this one must have been one of the last glass insulators put up in the air in London, ON, sometime after the year 1954 when it was made. This one is crystal clear, and falls into the [010] embossing style. The wire must be No. 3 gauge, at just under 1/4" thick.

The insulator itself is VNM save for a bit of scratching in the wire groove.

I'm asking $12.00 US plus shipping for this hefty bit of copper, with a little bit of glass attached. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
