A lineman for the South Shore Interurban was selling his railroad stuff including insulators on January 31, 2015 in La Porte, IN. That was the same day as the Crown Point, IN swap meet for the Greater Chicago Insulator club and I ended up going to the auction. I bought this CD 160 Brookfield for about $4. Although the piece was mint, the reason I bought it was it had a piece of paper in it that told exactly where it was found and included the notation that only 4 Brookfield insulators were found on the line. The story of the street and place on the pole was worth the money.
