Note the sidepins mounted on the underside of the crossarm (left side) for additional circuit(s). I do not know if this was Ma Bell construction practice. New England Telephone & Telegraph Company had lots of service area in Maine when this was taken. However this could have been a lead owned by one of the many independent phone companies that operated up in Down East Maine then.
