This line led to the Bryantville (a village section combining Hanson and Pembroke, MA) New England Telephone and Telegraph Company central office which was about a couple miles south of where this photo was taken (along MA SR 14). Land line toll calls placed to Hanson are routed through the local Bryantville Verizon office and appear as "Bryantville" instead of "Hanson" on billing statements to this day. Some things regarding telephone communication have not changed ;-)

Added note: With loving thanks to my best friend Jill (Kathleen) McLaughlin [id=423108212] our vintage photo quest has been ongoing with lots of enjoyment from you ICONers. She and I are constantly searching for new photos of insulator-enthusiast relevance regarding yesteryears images and information. We *really* appreciate your comments and support with this ongoing project...such words are highly inspirational...thank you! Plenty more old-timey pictures are planned for inclusion, so stay tuned!
