This pole has been down a rather long time ... actually in the rainforest of Western Wahington things decompose pretty fast . Sadly most of the insulators were badly damaged when the pole fell . The yellow skirted Thomas would have been beautiful! Note the Goddard three part hiding under the crossarm... It has been decomposing in the rainforest a long time the aluminum line conductors are still tied in to the insulators! Once upon a time the entire Puget Sound regiond was chriscrossed by ubiquitous 55kV Puget Sound Power and Light transmission lines mounted on pintypes ... today you'd never gues any of it existed at all . They began phasing out this type of construction in the mid 1930's by the end of the 60's it was virtually all gone .
