Not too bad a haul for something he pulled out of someone's trash!

The whole haul, as it came out. Suffice it to say, I was more than happy with this gift!

Makes me wish I had remembered to photograph the insulators as they were coming out of the box. I did stay true to the sequencing of the insulators I saw as they came out. Ah well.

For those of you who are mathematically inclined, yes there are certainly more insulators on the table than would possibly have fit in that box. He also gave me a second box of Dominion 42s he had found at the same junk removal job. Nothing good in the 154s, but I'm still glad he saved all these! Were he not there, they would most certainly have been first to be thrown in the back of the truck, and would now be in the bottom of a landfill somewhere.

I think the coolest part has to be the old itemized list of all the insulator styles in the collection. Whoever owned these in the early 1970s really appreciated them, and took all that time to list the attributes and colours of every one... only to forget them in the bottom of a box of junk in their garage for 42 years before throwing them away. Seems a shame, but at least they have a good home now!
