Up for sale this evening is, as the title describes, an especially crude and appealing diamond CD 102! This one has a light green colour, and is a 'type 2' [060] Diamond CD 102. This one resembles lime crush a bit, with its heavy smattering of bubbles throughout. There is a bit of a frothy, white pinhole staining at surface caused by an unusual "matte" texture which feels rough to the touch. The threads are crudely formed and are incorrectly spaces and even almost horizontal in some spots. While the dome segment of the mould appears to have been off-centre when it was moulded leading to the dome being horribly misaligned. Suffice it to say, this one has some character! This one also came out of the linemans collection which was acquired from a London, ON area lineman last summer. It would have been picked from the London, ON area sometime in the early 1970s. The condition of this one is pretty good, with the only damage seemingly being a 1/4" fisheye on the rear dome, and a small bit of scuffing on the right dome side. I'm asking $30.00 US plus shipping for this unique piece with all the character you could hope for. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
