Up for sale this fine evening is, just as the title indicates, a STAR CD 106 with an impressive amount of white firebrick chunks throughout. A few of these, identical to this one, came out of a collection of telephone insulators purchased from a retired lineman in London, ON earlier this year. He said everything was picked locally, and so it seems reasonable to assume that all 6 of these that originated from this collection came from the same line in the London area, and probably rolled out of the factory on the same day in the same crate. Same snow in 'em, too. The glass is a sparkling crisp light aqua one this piece, and the snow throughout it really does resemble a snow globe when held against a dark background or underlit. There's even a nice amber tadpole in the skirt to the right of the STAR, which stands out beautifully against the light-coloured glass. While the images don't really suffice to show just how amazingly snow-filled this compact telephone piece really is, I can assure you won't regret going in for a closer look on this one.

The condition is good on this one, with a 3/16" discoloured ping on the front right dome side (as visible in the photo), a 3/16" flat base flake on the left side near the mould line, and a 1/8" ping/weirdflake on the left lower wire ridge, right at the mould line. Sounds worse than it is (as always), but the ping does suck.

I'm asking $12.00 US plus shipping for this telephone piece which so tastelessly mimics the weather we've been having around here recently. I want it out of here. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
