Up for sale is a scarce variation of Brookfield signal. The "narrow dome", which I see has recently been reassigned a CD 162.1 style designation, is most certainly tougher to find than your average Brookfield product from this era of production. These were used occasionally throughout S.W. Ontario, and I turned this example up in Toronto earlier this year. This example is a nice deep aqua, with a nice amber swirl in the right side of the skirt, as well as some potstones above the front wire groove, and a few nice straw lines right near the amber swirl. This one looks satisfactorily crude from the front, and leaves very little to be desired in the condition department. I don't normally jump at these Brookfield variations, but this one is without a doubt the best condition example of this embossing variation I have ever seen. The drip points on this example are nearly perfect. I count a total of 8 of the tiny, very sharp drip points on this example that are in any way damaged - including ones with only the very tip chipped off, and one with a small crack rendering it seemingly close to falling off, but still in place none-the-less. Apart from the normal drip issues, this one has just one small 1/8" wide scratch along the base edge just near the right mould line, a 1/16" fleabite on the upper wire ridge just above it, and a 1/16" fleabite on the very dome top. Nothing to fret about, that's for sure. I'm asking $32 US plus shipping for this top-shelf example of a tough Brookfield variation. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
