I was driving up US 101 north of Novato Calif. on a trip to see my daughter, minding my own business, everything going fine. Enter an area where the freeway is being widened, glance across to a hillside where a crew is cutting down poles for a 60 KV that has been re-routed. Rather than just continuing on, something strange comes over me. I merge to the center, hit a u-turn lane, pull off and hike up the hillside to the crew. They were more than happy to give me these two out of the back of their rig. I lugged them, one at a time, down the hill to trunk of the car. Have them at home now, reflecting on the moment of weakness, and the question comes up: WHY??

The glaze is interesting, guess I'll try to un-screw the pins.
