None too often does one see these vertical bar / diamond ponies in anything but the normal, mundane light aqua colours they are so common in. Here are a couple exceptions. On the left in each of the three images is a somewhat unusual light lavender shade and on the right an aqua with a significant amount of amber swirling throughout. Both are shiny and clean, and make a pretty striking pair when placed in natural light or a backlit display cabinet. If you're assembling a collection of Canadian ponies, these would make good examples to fill the [040] embossing index space in your lineup! Both examples have a flat base flake on the right/left side (I don't know which) that measures approximately 1/2" long by 1/4" wide. The light lavender example has a bit of light scuffing on the dome side opposite this base chip, and a bit of wear in the wire groove. Associated with the scuffing is a very light, less than 1/8" fisheye both above and below the wire groove. The light aqua example has one light ping just not far up the skirt from the base chip. Both pieces sound a lot worse than they are, but I strive for accuracy in my descriptions. I would say both are in good condition. I'm asking $45.00 U.S. plus shipping for the pair. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. As mentioned, I will be at the Mid Ohio show this weekend, as well - if you'll be there, then save the shipping! |
