Nice insulator is truely and awesome piece to put in your window even if it does have some issues. I'll get to those issues later. Devide this insulator by the wire groove and the changes are quite noticible. The dome is pretty much a beautuful solid dark yellow green with the exception of where there is some amber swirling. Now you go below the wire groove and you see a mixture of colors. From dark green to aqua and dark aqua in some areas. Then there is the orange amber that is swirling all around the slug embossing of Brookfield on the front skrt. There is also a white fire brick straight up from to two O's in the Brookfield embossing. There is more dark orange amber in the rear skirt but I doubt if you would want to display from that side. I don't know what caused them but there is a cluster of 5-6 ping bruises that are flaked. Could be inclusions in the glass. Back to the front and most displayable side there are the following imperfections. First there are several tool markings. Three on the base of dome and the last at the top of skirt just up to the right of that rock I mentioned was there to pop out at you. On the rim of the dome there is a ery tiny nibble and a a flake under the dome about 1" over to the right. That flake is more or less on the insulators right side so you don't see unless light bounces up from below being it is under dome. Under the base there are also two base flakes. One is 1/2" long and is about 1" over from the left side mold line under rear skirt. The other is about dead center of front side which is actually two connecting flakes 1/2" each. You will not see any base flakes mentioned when displaying. Ending this post on a more positive note this insulator does have some larger size bubbles scattered around. Mostly on left and rear side. There is also a larger piece of white fire briick trying to hide in the upper side of wire groove in the back. It look hugh when view at an angle down through the dome.
