Early telegraph line construction from the early 1890's through around 1910. After that time Western Union and some other telegraph companies at least here in the northeast started to rebuild such older lines with 10-pin construction, new poles (often cedar) and hard-drawn copper wire. Predecessor insulators were re-used by WU only if in good condition and of the double petticoat design.
