Lot #61A&B Am Tel big M IYI & Purple brook mold (FRONT) I have collected AM Tel & Tel for years. At one time I had 60+ these are my last two. On the left is the infamous embossing "The "M" is shaped like a "Y" with two extra legs; large embossing". There are some bubbles and a small rock floating in the dome. The beautiful thing about this insulator is the color separation between green and blue. This is caused by the amber swirling. The only damage is a tiny dome kiss and a very tiny nick to the petticoat. This insulator has the "Elmer ring" for you seasoned collectors (I just learned about that a few months ago). I purchased this one from Mike Bliss about 10 years ago. $600 and I will pay for delivery in the US. The insulator on the right is an AM TEL & TEL Co. with at "2" on the dome. I believe it is what is called the "Brookfield mold" The only damage is two eraser size nicks to the outer edge of the skirt. I would normally call this light purple, but I think it is what the book is referring to as "purple". These don't get very dark. I purchased this one from Mike Miller 5-7 years ago. Mike was doing research on what he was calling the "Denver Mold" (with the segmented "&").
