Atop the pole line along the left are electric circuits for local customers. Beneath probably are electric utility-owned comm lines using their own equipment and openwire. Or maybe these were for connecting municipal fire alarm and/or police call boxes?

On the right is an openwire telephone subscriber lead with closely spaced and tightly strung wires...a type of phone openwire construction that pretty much was employed in western United States and rarely elsewhere.

Also note the old cars, nostalgic signs, etc. A radial wave span wire seen in the foreground incandescent street light illuminated this intersection.
