Electric lighting, telephone and telegraph comm open wire lines are seen here in this Washington State community. The tall pole line along the left certainly looks older and more primitive than the others and quite interesting, too ;-)

Added note...Thanks to Brent B. from Spokstanian, note the vertical lettering "Telegraph" painted in big letters on the pole on the right. Brent adds that judging by its construction it probably was owned by the Postal Telegraph Company. From the classic "rooftop-peaked" wooden junction box on top of it, paired cable led to the telegrapher's office.
