We went on a hunt today (Sat. the 2nd of November, 2002) while you are all at the Mid-Ohio show (WWHHAAAAA!!!!). Anyways, I found an early pole site today on the opposite side of the tracks where the first half of the hunt took place. That's a first for me, the only other time I've ever found an early pole site was with Tom Iannelli when he found it for me. Anyways, here I am after scraping around for about 30 minutes with our only find, a MONTREAL TELEGRAPH CO CD 143 in blue with the dome popped off, it's a crying shame, and, yes, we did search extensively for the dome, but it was nowhere to be seen. But, we marked the area, and we'll be going back again in a few weeks. Yippee! My first early pole site!
