Pole on far left (close-up pic 2) CD 1070 and CD 1071 dead end insulators. Building is on the old Hartford, NY & New Haven line in Newington, CT. It was once home to Cremo Brewery, a locally famous-at-the-time brewery that made home deliveries, like a milk route. Our gang hung around there, being close by. It was a good place to hop a slow moving freight, throw rocks at stuff, hone pole climbing technique, and generally act like 12 year olds, which most of us were in 1970. Took these photos in 1976. |
