In the foreground we see an unfortunate telephone openwire dead-end pole that had a junction box that led to paired cable (maybe to a nearby operators' central office?). Elsewhere are other comms and electric lighting service wires erractically dangling all over the place owing to the enormous weight of the ice that built up upon them.
