This is a EIN 100 in light green Jan 25 1870 creb. It was covered in train soot yesterday so I wasn't sure if my $3 would be worth the purchased for me. It did look a green color but one never knows with the soot covering. I've purchased simular soot pieces and they turned out to be light aquas or light blue aqua. After an over night bath I was pleased to see it was indeed a light green which I didn't have in my #2 mold line up. This insulator came out of a box in one of my anitique store owning friends. Yesterday was Catskill's yard sale day. Catskill is a small village so I didn't really but to much effort into finding anything new. It seemed the same people in the same places were selling all the same old stuff they have been trying to sell for the last couple of years. So after just visiting only a few yards I ended up going five miles away to where Ray's store is. Finally he had something new. Said he had a box somewhere and being I am drawned to insulator by magical powers I found the box before my friend. This is the only piece I wanted out of maybe eight pieces. There was a two piece Hemi-50 that I can go back for that looked in great shape if anyone is interested. He had a price tage of $4 on each half. I did tell him they were actually one insulator. |
