A super-tall utility (phone?) line towers well above a telephone openwire subscriber wires along this residential street in New York State. Note the lowermost pole line with a wooden phone-pair junction box on the right with lead-sheathed cable pararelling this openwire route.

Added note: The taller pole line possibly was an older one constructed for clearance over a tall tree line that existed before this picture was taken....
