Here's a rare spaceship shaped unipart porcelain insulator from Germany. Insulator was installed onto poles via iron clamp with threaded pin with additional attachment to its base with a round porcelain pin with a square pinhole that apparently broke off at the base [id=404018903]. This example is shown in a circa 1930 German electrical supply catalog. Measures 5 inches wide on the biggest shell by 4 3/4 inches tall. Apart from the pinhole, no chips or cracks. Covered with original soot that was partially washed off in one area- may find factory marking once it's cleaned. These were also made in Poland with a slight variation to the base.
