A friend sent me this photo of a U-172 "haystack" type porcelain insulator. Cool crudeness with that hole that goes through the outer skirt. I had never seen this feature in a porcelain before. Too cool. The glaze follows the hole, so it is no doubt factory made. Enjoy!
