Interesting Suspension Hardware

Found these while following an old line that was build in the 1910's. There are two or three in the woods around each tower base. They would have been pinned to the bottom of the suspensions with the wire running below. Not sure what the purpose of them was. Thinking they may have been made by the company welder as some were made very sloppy.
