Newly installed crossarms and insulators on the replica 22,000 volt power line along the Oregon Electric Railway Museum track in Brooks, OR. The line captures the typical look of many interurban electric railways of the past. A medium voltage transmission line was attached to the trolley wire support poles to supply power to substations along the line. Three phase A.C. power at 22,000 volts was typical of the times. View is looking north from the first curve. The power line is about 2500 ft long and wire is still in the future. |
