Spent some time on the old NYC Canandaigua and Suspension Bridge line this past Sunday. This long abandoned line is known as the "Peanut Branch" of the mainline NY Central. This abandoned ROW runs about 4 miles north of where I live. I have found many threadless shards through the years, but no whole specimens. This piece of a CD 736 NY & ERR was lying out in plain sight. I scratched up one original tie wire, and a bunch of common glass chunks. I'll be doing some further investigation later this Spring.
