Up for sale is a nifty little steel blue G.N.W. CD 145 with a pretty noticeable smattering of purple swirls throughout the dome - just from the wire groove up. Now, I have to stress that this is exceptionally difficult to capture in photographs, but I've managed to catch just a few swirls in the lower two photographs where you can see a bit of purple in a few spots. The piece looks like it has a bit of a lavender cast when placed next to an aqua G.N.W. CD 145. I bet this one would look killer in a bicklit display cabinet or underwater, for those of you with subaqeous insulator displays. This one was dug along the old Great Western Railway mainline near Glencoe, ON several years ago. It'll fill the space nicely! Take a look at the original photo for a better view of the swirls. The condition of this one is pretty good - only damage appears to be a 13/16" by 1/8" sliver off the rear base edge and a minor bit of flashover by the right lower wire ridge at the mould line. Not too bad for a dug insulator. I'm asking $60.00 U.S. plus shipping for this one. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. All the best! |
