Here is a CD 143 [050] (F-Skirt) STANDARD/['CANADIAN PACIFIC RY CO' blotted out] SB. The only color listed in the Price Guide that comes close to this one is plain old Green, as I'm quite sure it's not Light Gray Green. The color in the rear shot [id=400898444] is more accurate than the above photo that was taken with a flash to enhance the embossing detail. Try using the [View Original] button above and zoom in. The aqua DWIGHT//PATTERN is shown for comparison only. The ANA of the blotout is fairly clear [id=400898599], and the D is visible at the right angle. The blotted out embossing after STANDARD is not readable, but there is certainly something there. [id=400898665] The condition is excellent, with the only damage that I can find being a tiny pencil-point peck on the right front upper wire groove edge and a smaller pinpoint tic to the right side of the dome, both of which can be seen above if you look VERY closely. There is a cooling fissure that runs halfway up the barely formed threads at the right mold line. [id=400898515] A couple of bubbles near the base at the front left and curlicue straw marks around the top of the dome add a little character to this already spectacular example of Canadian glass. The Price Guide lists this EIN in green at $500-600. Do you have one in your beehive collection? Price update: I have learned that the Price Guide is missing a range of green shades with lower values than the deep, rich green that lists for several hundred dollars. This shade is more appropriately priced at $75. Goin' home to Canada. |
