A telephone openwire line stands above the electric lighting service pole beneath. Note the old cast iron transformer and incandescent street light. The latter was wired in electrical series (common practice years ago) and a break-arm positioned upon the end of the pole's top arm terminated the street lighting wires on each side with connections to the fixture beneath.

Also note the real sturdy block building construction, Coca Cola sign, etc ;-)
