Very typical, tranquil and sweet image representing most Maine smaller communities decades ago. Albeit with some modernization, some still retain an appreciable degree of this simplicity. Note the two wire electric service entrance strung to the store's peak. This method was standard during the earlier decades of electric utility spans to customers and sometimes the meter was in the attic. A couple take a moment on the old wooden bench on the store's porch to pose for this picture.
