The latter had three rather long crossarms extending from their poles so that nearby trees and their foliage would not physically nor electrically interfere with the telephone circuits they supported. A two-pin line is seen across the street, likely carrying wires for electric lighting customers residing in the nice older homes we also enjoy seeing here.
