Electric lighting service was provided to customers along this quiet New York state residential street via the two crossarms atop this pole line. Telephone subscribers were connected to the lowermost crossarm. As this route continued down its tree-lined street, "alley arms" were utilized so that the wires mounted upon them had better clearance from adjacent trees, providing less electrical and physical interference from them. A span-wire radial-wave incandescent street light illuminated this street intersection. The lightbulb within the forementioned fixture looks lit however this might be a reflection making it appear so (?). |
